Oh, how time flies when you are having fun! We simply can't believe that it is already July! We have been so wonderfully blessed and are so thankful to have had so many great opportunities this season and we aren't done yet.
We wanted to take a moment to catch you all up with what we have been up to and what we are looking forward too!

Another great collaboration with the Long Beach Opera - Ainadamar
"The production, something that looked like waves of fabric going every which way, was conceived by Mitisek (who also directed), but it was Weiss who transformed it all into a living, breathing contemporary “installation” — a mesmerizing, almost sentient breathing space inhabited by Nannette Brodies’s wonderful dancers and the brilliant cast." - Opera West

Not only were we thrilled when we collaborated with the Long Beach Opera earlier this year for Maria de Buenos Aires, but we were offered another wonderful opportunity to do it once again and on May 20 and 26, we performed in Ainadamar at the Terrace Theater in Long Beach, California.
As described on the Long Beach Opera website, "Ainadamar (arabic for "Fountain of Tears") tells the story of the Spanish playwright and poet Federico Garcia Lorca who was executed in 1936 during the Spanish Civil War. Lorca's life and deaths are told in flashbacks by actress Margarita Xirgu, for whom Lorca wrote some of his greatest female roles. Xirgu remembers him during the last moments of her own life, which ended in 1969. Ainadamar becomes a gripping reflection on the undying faith of a people, the moral duty of the artist and the relationship between artistic and political freedom."

The opera was beautifully conceived and all who worked on it gave it everything they could and the end result was marvelous.
We always have a wonderful experience working with the Long Beach Opera Performing in Ainadamar, gave us the chance to perform onstage with incredible talent, perform with a live orchestra and the boys even learned how to fly.
To have the opportunities to collaborate with this incredible company, gives us the chance to expand beyond our boundaries and it helps push us artists to another level.
Thank you to the Long Beach Opera as always, we can never say it enough!
