Kelly Ray
Kelly Ray joined NBDT in 1999. She received her undergrad and graduate dance training from UCSB and CSULB. She has worked with members of the Limon Dance Company, Paul Taylor Dance Company, White Oak Dance Project and individuals such as Joe Goode, Bebe Miller, Nancy Colahan and Murray Louis. Kelly premiered her solo “Drift” at the Dance in the Desert Festival 2005 and again soon after at the Sola Contemporary Dance Festival. The piece was honored as “a moving solo of self-exploration.” Kelly teaches dance throughout Long Beach and Orange County and has choreographed over 50 dances works. Some of her students have gone on to study at Julliard, Tisch School of the Arts, NY and the Alvin Ailey School. She has enjoyed touring nationally and internationally with NBDT and looks forward to many years of new dance experiences and producing exciting dance concerts. Kelly would like to thank her husband for his great cooking and good humor, and her daughter for her love of life.
