BRANDY FACTORY (2021)
Brandy Factory is a Dance Artist, Choreographer, and Teacher. She began her dance training at Compton Dance Theatre Foundation focusing on ballet and the Horton technique. Moving on to training at Renaissance High School for the Arts she was introduced to the company through her teachers and current NBDT dancers. Along with her pre-professional and professional endeavors she received her B.A. in Dance from California State University, Fullerton in 2020 after transferring from Long Beach City College. At CSUF she trained in: Ballet, Graham, Limon, and Horton. Immediately after graduation she earned her 200 hr certification in Hatha Yoga.
Before joining NBDT in 2021, the Southern California born artist performed at various venues including the Jacob's Pillow Inside Out stage and has worked with established artists such as Keith Johnson, Bernard Gaddis, Jessica Kondrath, and Doug Varone. She joined the Super Bowl LVI halftime cast in 2022. As a choreographer, her focus is on modern and contemporary styles as well as exploring and utilizing varying movement styles in creating pieces.
Brandy currently directs the Saint Anthony High School Dance Team and is the assistant coach for the Long Beach Jordan High School dance program. She is also on faculty at Melodie’s Dance Theatre and En Pointe Dance and Fitness. With acting and theater, she has performed in various musical productions and has worked with artists like Rufus Bonds Jr. on original projects. Brandy has had her hand in different art mediums, working as a freelance dance and portrait photographer, which combines her love for visual art and dance.
